Description

The Movement is by Marti and has the clockmakers mark on the backplate. It is of excellent quality as you would expect from this maker. Marti was awarded the Bronze medal in 1860 and was a wellknown clockmaker in Paris in the mid 18th Century. In 1860 it’s known that theis premises were situated at Le Pays de Montbeliard and in 1863 Marti worked with two other wellknown clockmakers Roux, and Japy Freres in promoting their clock movements.
