Description

Fine ormolu small lyre clock. Outstanding casting to the case with the two horns of the lyre highly and completely decorated with Anthemion. The top of Apollo’s lyre is surmounted by a Forget me Not. The besel is well decorated.The lyre is held up by a pedestal and two very well modelled swans standing back to back. French Charles X period, circa 1820. Unfortunately not signed but this was normal for the early 1800’s.
