Beautiful longcase clock, made by William Robb, Montrose in Scotland. Eight day Scottish longcase signed. William Robb was born in 1756 in Montrose, Scotland. From 1776 to 1816 he worked as a clockmaker. He made very handsome clocks, the shape of the case being somewhat in the French style, with urns and eagles in brass as ornament.
