Peerless is a trade name registered by Matthias Bauerle, a German Manufacturer Acc. to Kochmann’s European Trade mark Index. The Peerless trademark with a distinctive banner over script letters was registered ca. 1922-1938. The clock with its three chimes: Whittingtons, Westminster and Winchester started its business in 1863.

The stunning case from solid Walnut was made in Canada by the Geo.J. Lippert Table Company Limited from Kitchener, Ontario around 1899.
