Product Description

Beautiful Clock set made of Black Slate and bronze with Barbedienne Bronze Grand Tour model of the Warwick vase on top. The vase was created in Ancient Rome. It was uncovered from the bottom of Lake Tivoli in the 18th Century and features classical bacchal masks (Bacchus and his followers) and associated emblems such as a thyrsus, together with classical leaves and intertwined naturalistic handles.

The clock was made around 1850. The name of the retailer “Boiron Moulin’s” was written on the black enameled dial and the back plate was signed by the maker “Japy Freres”. D’Aureville a Paris 1801, a small place in the France Midi Pyrenees.
